Recently, the scientific and technological achievements of Jiangxi Ruida New Energy Technology Co., LTD., a subsidiary of the company, "Key technologies and industrialization of clean production of high value-added products using secondary resources of copper, zinc and nickel", were evaluated by China Nonferrous Metal Industry Association, and identified as "the overall technology has reached the international leading level" (China Color Association Science (review) word [2020] No. 021).

       On June 16, 2020, China Nonferrous Metal Industry Association held a video conference on the evaluation of scientific and technological achievements of the project "Key Technologies and Industrialization of Clean Production of High Value-added Products with Secondary Resources of Copper, zinc and Nickel" in Wanzai Industrial Park, Yichun, Jiangxi Province. Zhang Wenhai, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, led 5 well-known experts in the field of non-ferrous metals, project implementation and cooperation units attended the meeting. Zhou Jianxi, Secretary of the Party Group and director of Yichun Science and Technology Bureau, Long Wenping, member of the Party group and deputy director, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Long of China Nonferrous Metal Industry Association.

       According to the appraisal committee, Guilin University of Technology, Jiangxi Ruida New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and other units have taken advantage of the hazardous waste properties of soot, electroplating mud and acid etching fluid since undertaking the project, and initiated the joint leaching, which has solved the problems of large acid and base consumption and large waste salt production in the secondary resource recovery process, improved the crystallization properties of iron and aluminum slag, and reduced the slag amount and metal loss rate. Electrodeposition copper and zinc products are produced by combined extraction and electrodeposition, and environmental protection and clean production are realized. The project has achieved a cumulative output value of 1.464 billion yuan, with remarkable economic and social benefits. The experts of the appraisal committee listened to the report of the unit that completed the results and reviewed the appraisal materials submitted. After questioning and discussion, the expert group headed by Academician Zhang Wenhai unanimously assessed that the overall technical achievement reached the international leading level.
